About Us

After practicing for several years in Northeast Ohio, Dr. David Wong saw that wellness and preventive medicine had become increasingly unaffordable. He believed it was essential for the community to have access to these services without breaking the bank—after all, every furry friend deserves excellent care. Driven by this vision, Dr. Wong developed a plan to open a clinic focused on offering the most affordable wellness and preventive treatments. By seeking out cost-effective solutions, he aims to pass those savings on to his clients, all while maintaining quality medicine and a high standard of compassionate care. In this way, wellness and preventive medicine can be accessible to all furry family members!

David Wong, DVM

Dr. David Wong was born in South Africa and grew up in Canada. He became a registered veterinary technician when he was in upstate New York and then a certified veterinary technician in Ontario, Canada. He was both an emergency veterinary technician and a primary care technician for a few years before he decided to pursue his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. After several years of practicing in Ohio, he opened “PetVetWell” in 2024, where he emphasizes preventative care and client education.

Advocating for comprehensive and wellness medicine, Dr. Wong is dedicated to staying current with veterinary advancements through ongoing education. Beyond his clinic, he actively supports local animal rescue organizations and promotes responsible pet ownership in the community.

In his free time, Dr. Wong enjoys nature through the art of fishing. He lives with his two dogs, Chief and Bebe, and his two cats, Penny and Dillan, embodying his belief in the importance of a balanced life that includes both work and play. His passion for veterinary medicine and advocacy continues to make a significant impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
